New drop-in design fuel filter HDM3D for KTM ADV S/R 1190, 1290 SADV and SDR SDGT, 1050 1090 to mount below the original fuel filler.
INNOVATIVE FILTERÂ WITH WELDED EDGES FOR THE BEST DIRT/WATER SEGREGATIONÂ & BIGGER XXL+ SURFACE
Fuel Filter with HDM3D Media with welded edges, easy to install thanks the direct mounting below the original neck flange.
Thanks to its design and special media, refueling is very fast, filtering is very effective and you will never have fuel splash in your face. The huge filtering surface measures almost 1200 square cm.
The new and innovative media combines a very fast refueling with an exceptional filtering efficiency capable of protecting your EFI system from most kind of solid contamination and 100% water separation.
Due to the FPR (fuel pressure regulator) set at 4.2 BAR instead of the old 3,5 BAR of the original 990 LC8, the system is more prone to be affected by dirty petrol/clogged filter forcing more services and attention.
KTM needed a higher pressure due to the increased power output of the new 1190/1290/1050/1090 engines but did not improve their filtering design. Instead they used the small filters from the 990 LC8 for the new bikes. Too small of a filter means contaminated fuel clogs things up much more quickly than normal.
While prefiltering during refueling, you can easily clean fuel pump filters instead of continously changing them to keep the motor running smoothly.
Double-check your bike’s make, model, year, gas tank design, filler nozzle, etc. before ordering.Â
Take careful measurements of your filler nozzle and confirm for proper fitment. (see measurements of filter above).
If you order the wrong filter you’re responsible for any shipping fees needed to replace it with the proper filter, plus any price differences.
Filters that have been immersed in gas (or are not in like-new condition) are NOT eligible for return or refund.
