Description

Fits the KTM 690 through the end of 2018.  2019 and later model years won’t fit.  A new filter design is in development for these late model bikes… stay tuned.

MAY fit the Husky 701… apparently Husky made a change to their airbox, and it’s not quite as deep as the airbox on the 690.  Check your airbox – you’ll need 66mm clearance below the rim (the shoulder where the air filter sits in the box).

Kit includes adhesive foam strip and foam pad to ensure a complete seal of the airbox.

When installing, run a bead of heavy grease on the rim of the airbox.  This will seal the edge of the air filter to the bike’s airbox, and allow for any distortions on the rim of the box.  When riding off-road or in dusty conditions, we strongly recommend oiling the filter.  This will greatly improve filtration of ultra-fine talcum-like dust.

This is a DRY mesh media filter, meaning it doesn’t need solvents to clean it, or oils to charge it for use, however for improved filtering in dusty conditions we STRONGLY recommend treating the upper side of the filter with Rock Factory Eco Foam Air Filter Treatment.  Rock Eco Foam Air Filter Treatment

 

 

 

 

 

The mesh is reinforced by a wire screen.  This means the filter can be cleaned with compressed air and soapy water WITHOUT DAMAGE TO THE FILTER.  And that means you can use it over and over again.  Basically, this is the last air filter you’ll ever need for your bike.

Installation is quick and easy, the same process as changing an OEM paper filter.

When installing, be sure to grease the rim of the airbox where the filter rests.
