This kit allows you to remove the original in-tank fuel filter and replace it with an external filter that you can easily service or replace in the field.
The kit allows includes a new MWK44 fuel filter, fuel hose, brackets, and clamps. You’ll mount those items EXTERNAL to the fuel tank so you can get to them and service them with ease.
SERVICE TIP: When replacing your OEM fuel pump do some research. The BMW parts fiche will give you the proper part number. Then do a cross-reference and find the right model made by another company. We’ve used pumps from www.highflowfuel(dot)com and had good results. Cost is about 1/3 what you pay for a BMW pump (if you can even get one).
Also, when you replace that fuel pump, order and fit a Guglatech teabag strainer MRT085. It’s much larger than the OEM strainer or the strainer on aftermarket pumps, and it has an internal structural mesh to prevent the strainer from collapsing as the pump draws fuel.
