Fits 08-13 R1200GS/GSA and R12/ variations that have a RED PLASTIC FILLER NOZZLE and NO Fuel Sensor (floating arm)
Also fits GS’s from 08-13, K1600GT, HP2, Megamoto, early BMW R12RT/R/S
NFS stands for No Fuel Sensor – the fuel sensor is a floating arm to measure the fuel level.
BMW made 2 styles of fuel nozzles on their bikes during that model year. One has a straight nozzle with no fittings, no sensors, nothing attached to the bottom of the fuel nozzle. This filter (M09006-NFS) slips up onto the bottom of the nozzle, and a wire retainer holds the filter bag in place.
The WFS nozzle has sensors and other bits that prevent the filter bag from slipping onto the nozzle. Guglatech solved that by leaving the upper part of the bag un-sewn so it fits around those obstacles.
How do you know which type you have? You’ll have to pull the filler cap and lift up the nozzle. If it’s a straight, smooth nozzle, then you want this filter M09006-NFS. If your nozzle has a fuel sensor on it, you need to order the M09006-WFS. Confused? We are too. A pair of Mark 1 eyeballs will solve the mystery.
If your bike has a metal filler funnel and a floating arm you want to order M06006.
This model is designed for bikes where the fuel sensor is at the cap.
The HDM3D media filters down to 10 Microns, which will allow a very good protection of the fuel pump and main filter. WATER and other contaminants (liquid and solid) will be separated during refueling.
Expedition media, XXL+ 1200 square cm of filtering surface, simply mounting and fast refueling, washable and long lasting.
The original BMW fuel filter system has a strainer working between 40 and 60 microns, made from nylon mesh, which is totally inadequate to protect the fuel pump.
This filtration level will both preserve the fuel pump and prolong fuel original filter life, thereby avoiding nasty surprises and high repair costs.
When ordering please list your bike’s make, model, and year in the order notes.
