Shipping Policy

Order Tracking and Lost Shipments

  • Tracking Information: When your order is fulfilled and assigned a tracking number, you will receive an email containing both the tracking link and the tracking number to monitor your package’s status.
  • 30-Day Missing Order Policy: Contact BestRest if you haven’t received your order within 30 days of shipment.
  • Insurance Claims: BestRest must file any insurance claims within 60 days of shipment. If you do not notify us within this period, no reimbursement for lost packages will be issued.
    • Example 1: A package shipped in December 2012 but reported missing in June 2013 exceeded the 60-day claim window. No reimbursement was provided.
    • Example 2: A package shipped in April 2013 but reported missing in July 2013 also exceeded the claim window. No reimbursement was provided.
    • Example 3: A package shipped in January 2013 and reported missing in March 2013 had a claim filed within 60 days, and the customer was reimbursed.

Foreign Orders

  • Countries Not Listed: If your country is not listed as a shipping destination, contact us, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. However, we cannot ship to countries under restrictions imposed by the US Postal Service or the US Government.
  • Character Restrictions: Please do not use special characters or accents in your name or address when placing an order. Using these characters can cause issues with credit card approvals and delivery of shipments. Stick to plain characters.
  • Shipping Methods: All international orders will be shipped via USPS First Class International. We no longer use UPS, FedEx, or DHL due to their high costs.
  • Customs Fees: International customers are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, fees, and other associated charges. Please note that once your package leaves our shop, we cannot expedite or influence the customs process. Delivery times may vary, so patience is appreciated.

Shipping and Handling Costs

  • Shipping Estimates: Our website provides estimated shipping times and costs. In rare cases where actual shipping costs are higher than estimated, we will contact you before processing the order.
  • Shipping Charges: Shipping costs are based on weight, volume, insured value, and delivery zone. We charge the rate from UPS/USPS plus a small order processing fee.
  • Alternate Shipping Methods: BestRest may opt to ship using a faster method at no additional cost unless the order specifically requests otherwise.
  • International Shipments: All international shipments will be sent via USPS First Class International to minimize costs. International customers are responsible for any duties, fees, taxes, or customs charges. We are unable to expedite or influence the customs process once a package has been shipped. Delivery times may vary.

Delivery Time Estimates

  • Same-Day Shipping: We aim to ship orders the same business day, but delays can occur due to inventory or time constraints.
  • Shipping Transit Times:
    • UPS: 1-5 days, depending on the destination.
    • USPS Priority Mail: 2-3 days for most US addresses.
    • International shipments vary by country, depending on customs.
  • Delayed Shipments: We are not responsible for delays caused by UPS/USPS or natural events.

Shipping Address Errors

  • Incorrect Addresses: Incorrect shipping addresses will incur a $25 UPS correction fee or return shipping fees for reshipment. Please ensure your address is accurate.
  • Undelivered Packages: If a package is returned as unclaimed or undelivered, the customer is responsible for return shipping fees.

Lost or Stolen Packages

  • Lost Packages: If your shipment does not arrive within 2 weeks (domestic) or 4 weeks (international), contact us to initiate an inquiry. We will file an insurance claim if appropriate, but replacements will only be shipped once the claim is resolved.
  • Stolen Packages: A “delivery notification” from UPS or USPS is proof of delivery. We are not responsible for theft after delivery. Consider requesting a “signature required” delivery to prevent theft.

Signature Requirements

  • Packages Over $1000: Packages with a value of more than $1000 will require a signature upon delivery.
  • Delivery Attempts: If no one is available to sign for the package, UPS will make up to three delivery attempts. If unclaimed, the package will be returned to BestRest, and additional shipping fees will apply.
  • Alternate Arrangements: To avoid missed deliveries, please ensure that someone is available to sign for packages at the delivery address.
